3 month post surgery celebratory jog

So I had surgery Haglund's Deformity surgery 3 months ago today. They scraped the bone off, removed most of my bursa and repaired my 30% tear in my achilles tendon. Thank you to Dr. Moser for doing an excellent job.

I am very positive about the way it has been going. I am pain free on all cross training workouts and I was given the all clear to go for a little jog yesterday. I don't think I can call it a run yet. But a shuffle/jog left me smiling.  I will continue my tough aqua jogging sessions passed on from Dame Kelly Holmes. They are keeping me lean and in shape, I am working on my strength and conditioning a lot and now I will start to slowly integrate runs again with my newly fixed foot. I am looking forward to coming back a lot stronger than ever.

I was very inspired by the performances at the World Championships. Congrats to Jenny and Maggie at Team New Balance, to all my Melbourne Track Club teammates competing, (including Zoe Buckman who ran a 4:05.06 in Rieti this week). To Hannah England on the silver medal in the 1500m... and to Christian Taylor (Gold, TJ) and all my Gators who were representing their countries. You have all inspired me in my training and my road to recovery :)
